Last Catch: Conversations on the Columbia and Snake Rivers – Webinar

We are excited to invite you to Last Catch: Conversations on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, a dynamic speaker series designed to explore the future of our rivers and the vital role they play in the ecology, economy, and culture of the Northwest.
This event will focus on the Biden Administration’s recent actions on dam removal and the path forward for restoring the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Our first conversation will center on the federal agreement released on December 16th, prioritizing the region’s energy grid, ecology, and economy, while also supporting tribally-sponsored energy projects and the replacement of services provided by the dams.
Joining us will be Chairman Shannon Wheeler of the Nez Perce Tribe, Kate Marckworth, Senior Staff Attorney with the Yakima Nation, Michael Garrity of with the State of Washington Fish & Wildlife Dept., and Amanda Goodin of Earth Justice, who represented plaintiffs in the case that helped lead to the RCBA.
We’re thrilled to have Marcus Harrison Green, publisher of South Seattle Emerald and columnist with The Stranger, moderating a free-flowing conversation with key stakeholders. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and engagement from the audience throughout the session.
Please register in advance by clicking the link above to secure your spot. We look forward to having you join the conversation on this crucial issue.
The Last Catch series is brought to you by the Columbia Snake River Campaign and organized by Nez Perce Tribe’s Orca Salmon Project, American Rivers, Washington Conservation Action, Hispanic Access Foundation, and Idaho Conservation league.
